The U.S.-market Elantra will be produced in Alabama but we've seen photos of the car, called the Avante in other markets, before.  The U.S. car is expected to have 1.6- and 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines.

The 2010 Elantra starts at $14,865 and is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 138 horsepower. Fuel economy on the 2010 sedan ranges from 25-26 mpg in the city to 34-35 mpg on the highway. No doubt the new Elantra will improve on these figures in the 2011 model year.
