Pontiac is dead. Long Live Pontiac! Thanks to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and its Lingenfelter T/A concept, which is making its debut at the 2009 SEMA show, you can make your new 2010 Chevy Camaro look Pontiac cool.
While it's a modified 2010 Camaro, the Lingenfelter T/A's engine size is familiar to the Pontiac Trans Am faithful -- a custom Racing Head Service (RHS) aluminum engine block with a 455 cubic inch displacement, modified heavily by Lingenfelter to produce a reported 655 hp and 610 lb-ft of torque. A custom-designed CORSA Performance stainless steel exhaust has been added to the mix. In an effort to harness all that power, the car employs a Lingenfelter 6-bolt LS9 twin disk flywheel and clutch assembly and heavy-duty half shafts by Driveshaft Shop.
But of course, it's the body enhancements that make the Lingenfelter T/A concept truly special. Out front, the hood features a shaker scoop and blue keyed stripe, with custom head lamps, grille and turn signals to help give it that Trans Am look. The car's fender has an actual functional side extractor scoop. The rear quarter has a leading edge wheel flair and the rear corners of the car have been extended nearly four inches. A wrapped down stand-up spoiler and custom taillight housings finish things up out back.

The Lingenfelter T/A is sprayed an icy, bright white with an electric blue stripe running from front to rear, and custom 20-inch honeycomb wheels shod in Nitto rubber accent the car nicely. Inside, bright blue woven vinyl seat inserts and metal turned instrument panel accents adorn the cabin. And of course, there are several of the requiste Lingenfelter badges affixed to the car.
It's a concept muscle car fans -- especially Pontiac fans -- are bound to appreciate.
