Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com named the 2010 Genesis Coupe 2.0T as one of its 2010 Top 10 “Fast-Lane Four-Cylinders.” The Genesis Coupe is a purpose-built rear-wheel drive sport coupe which comes standard with a 210-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, giving it the fuel economy of a four cylinder and the performance of a six.
“We think our Genesis Coupe 2.0T, with its unique combination of rear-wheel drive and four-cylinder turbo power, offers an intriguing alternative to existing front-wheel drive sport coupes,” said Scott Margason, director of product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Genesis Coupe provides a potent combination of performance and value, truly embodying the ‘Four is More’ mantra.”
The Top 10 “Fast-Lane Four-Cylinders,” which were named by the expert editors from kbb.com, showcase the best performance cars with a 21st-century twist. In an economy with relentlessly high fuel prices and increasingly stringent emissions requirements, more automakers are turning their focus to four-cylinder engines with combinations of variable valve and/or camshaft timing and direct fuel injection.
